The beagle story
There’s a worldwide problem affecting children’s education: the widening gap in student achievement and an increasing number of students unable to access the curriculum. Old methods are failing our kids’ basic needs – to read, write and do maths. The current system is also failing our teachers who need time, tools and knowledge.
So we decided to do something to change the inequality in student achievement. By using our years of personal teaching experience and expert knowledge to think outside the square and create a solution to raise student achievement and close the learning gap.
We spent two years working with schools to develop a smart, cloud-based solution to all the barriers and challenges. We measured the value-added to prove it worked. We named it beagle, because we wanted to sniff out the gaps in learning and track success. And it’s working!
beagle is empowering schools by transforming their assessment data into powerful insights – saving teachers hours analysing and interpreting data. Schools can now identify the gaps in learning and apply appropriate teaching for all students.
beagle is our puppy and as we grow, beagle grows too – constantly evolving as we work together with our school partners. We’re continually seeking out the latest research, evidence-based pedagogy and best practice – what works and why.
